JJ DOMÍNGUEZ

My name is José Javier Domínguez, although in acting and music I am known as Jota. I am an actor from Valencia and a member of the Spanish Film Academy. I currently live in Tres Cantos, Madrid.

I have appeared in more than 30 projects credited on IMDb, in 8 theatre productions on tour or in a theatre run, and in around fifty television commercials. I have worked under directors such as Alejandro Amenábar, Jesús Colmenar, Mateo Gil and Isaki Lacuesta, and in series including La que se avecina, Vis a vis, Acacias 38, Pelotas, La Agencia and Rocío (awaiting release).

I teach theatre to children.

I am bilingual in Spanish and Catalan/Valencian.

Music is also an important part of my career. I am a singer, guitarist, songwriter and founder of El vecino de la luna, an indie rock band that has collaborated with artists such as Kutxi Romero (Marea) and El Niño de la Hipoteca.
